Berliner Weisse

Berliner Weisse

This is a traditional German Berliner Weisse beer. It has been known as the "Champagne of the North" for over 200 years. It has an alcohol content of 3% and a refreshing, bubbly beer with a light, citrusy, acidic taste. The flavor is closer to a lemon sour than a regular beer, but the malt flavor comes through gently in the aftertaste. It's easy to drink without getting drunk, so it pairs well with food and is the perfect beer for lunch or a light meal. It's already popular at ale houses in Kofu.
